Safeguarding
Our Commitment to Safeguarding
Angel Group Care is fully committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children and young people in our care. Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility, and it is at the heart of everything we do.
Key Principles
- The welfare of the child is paramount
- All children have the right to equal protection from all types of harm or abuse
- Working in partnership with children, parents, carers, and agencies is essential
- All staff have a responsibility to report concerns
Recognising Abuse
All staff are trained to recognise signs of physical abuse, emotional abuse, sexual abuse, neglect, CSE, and CCE.
Reporting Procedures
Staff must ensure the child’s immediate safety, report to the DSL, complete a written record, and not investigate themselves.
Safer Recruitment
All staff undergo enhanced DBS checks, reference checks, and rigorous interviews.
Training
Comprehensive safeguarding training during induction and annual refreshers. DSLs attend advanced training every two years.
Reviewed annually. Last reviewed: January 2026.
